Husqvarna Viking Mega Quilter Professional Midarm Sewing Quilting Machine 9 Arm

I've absolutely LOVED sewing & quilting on my Mega Quilter (or
"Verna", as she's come to be known).
She has so many nice features,
things that I didn't even know I needed when I first bought her, and now
I couldn't live without.

Things like:

=> A knee lifter, to raise the presser foot without taking your hands off the machine.

=> A removable seam guide, which pretty much guarantees accurate seams (a HUGE must when quilting).

=> A built-in thread cutter. Oh, my sweet Jeebus, I will *never* own
another machine without this. No hunting around for your scissors, or
fighting to pull the bobbin thread up from the underbelly of your

=> Electronic adjustable speed control, all the way up to an
astounding 1,600 stitches per minute. She HUMS when she's going at full

=> Adjustable pressure foot pressure. This is so useful when working
with heavy, bulky fabrics or a thick quilt sandwich. You can leave the
pressure foot loosely over your fabric, so it just kind of glides under
your quilting foot.

=> A HUGE 9" throat, to keep your fabrics from bunching or pulling
when in your workspace. You can also put it on a quilting frame &
become a professional quilter, if you so desire.  I wanted to buy the Grace Start Right frame, as it's an affordable option around to begin with, around $449.

=> A built-in bobbin winder, with a dedicated motor. No more
swearing under your breath when your bobbin thread runs out - you won't
disrupt your sewing or have to re-thread the needle with the separate
thread holder & bobbin winder.

=> Needle up/down stops. AWESOME for pivoting corners, or when free
motion quilting - you'll never lose your place, because the machine
stops with the needle down, in the fabric, when you take your foot off
the pedal.

=> A reverse lever, to set or "lock in" your stitches & stop them from coming undone.

=> An extra wide 16" x 24" extension table, to give your quilts extra
support on a bigger workspace when free motion quilting or working on
bigger projects. The table also has a built-in ruler, so you can
measure pieces of fabric on the fly, if you need to.

It comes with everything you'd find with a new machine. The original
owner's manual, the knee lifter, the seam guide, a free motion quilting
foot & general purpose foot, a thread net & spool caps, and a
darning plate for free motion quilting.
I'm also including a bunch of extras. A nice rolling tapestry case, and
a soft fabric cover to keep her from getting dusty. A walking foot
worth $89.95, and eight extra aluminum bobbins. A bottle of machine
oil, to keep her lubed up & running like a dream.  And I'll even include a pack of (4) universal needles & a
pack of (5) quilting needles to get you started.

I've loved having this machine. She really does sew like a dream. But
my son has autism & I'm realizing that I can't do it all. It's
really hard to concentrate & focus on my sewing machine & stitch
the time away. He needs my help, and he will always, always, always
come first.

I last had her serviced & cleaned in September, 2011 at a local sewing center. I've also used the Husqvarna/Viking sewing
gallery inside Joann Fabrics, when it was time for her annual check-up.  I'm the 2nd owner; but I bought her from a friend of the family when she purchased a long arm machine & quilting frame.  She has been well-taken care of and loved by both me and the previous owner, just like any woman should be. :)

She will make an amazing Christmas present for one lucky quilter, or a
dream sewing machine for any seamstress or sewist.

Thank you "sew much" for your interest, and Happy Crafting!!!

..... about those shipping costs ..... the shipping costs I have listed
are an estimate, based on shipping a package from Wisconsin to Olympia, Washington.  The machine itself is encased in protective bubble wrap and the case/box is filled with packing peanuts to stop anything from shifting around.  I have also double boxed her, with protective foam lining the space between the interior & exterior boxes.

The interior box is almost 24" square, and the outside shipping carton is 28" x 28" x 28".  The machine itself weighs almost 40#, and the total carton weight, with the rolling case, accessories, packing supplies, and double boxing is 60#.  Unfortunately, this makes it too big for USPS Parcel Post; & I'm stuck shipping it via UPS Ground.  The $99.99 shipping charges I have quoted won't even cover the costs, which are expected to be somewhere around $145.  And that doesn't include the cost of the shipping carton, the bubble wrap, the packing peanuts, or the packing tape; not to mention the 12% ebay/paypal fees sellers are now required to pay on shipping fees.  Based on the package size & zip code & fees, my true cost to ship will be around $212.00.  I'm going to lose money on shipping . . . but feel like there's nothing else I can do.  :-(

Other Information:
tried really hard to represent accurate colors between real life &
my camera/monitor; but the actual colors may vary slightly due to
monitor settings.
All items come from my professional, smoke-free home.
If you have any questions whatsoever, please contact me & I'll happily respond.

Payment Information:
I only accept payment via Paypal.
All payments must be made within 48 hours of the close of the auction, unless prior arrangements have been made.
I'm the SAHM of a wee one with Autism, and every bid & purchase helps my little family flourish.
We truly appreciate your support & encouragement.  :)

Shipping Terms:
All items will be sent out within 24 hours of the receipt of your confirmed/cleared payment via Paypal (subject to weekend/holiday shipping schedules).
I typically use UPS Ground (depending on package weight), because they insure the first $100 of every shipment against loss or damage.
However, I may use USPS First Class or Priority Mail if the delivery is faster & the rates are comparable.
YES, I will happily combine shipping!
You will ALWAYS receive tracking information in an e-mail from me, sent via ebay or Paypal.
Sorry, but I'm just not set up for international shipping & can only ship within the United States.

Return Policy:
Returns are not accepted unless an item has been wholly misrepresented.

I try to describe my items honestly & fairly, and have yet to have
a buyer request a return. :)

About Feedback . . .
Positive Feedback is always appreciated, and will usually be
reciprocated within a day or two. (You go first. No, YOU go first!
If you're not happy for any reason, please contact
me before leaving neutral or negative feedback & I'll do my best to set things right.

On Dec-09-11 at 05:54:32 PST, seller added the following information:

The machine is all packaged up & ready to go. The actual shipping box ended up being 26" x 26" x 26"; so it can now go via Fed Ex ground, UPS ground, or USPS Parcel Post. Regardless of which carrier we decide to use, the package will also be insured for the full replacement value.

After the auction finishes on Sunday evening, I'll look up rates based on the winning buyer's zip code; and decide which is the best carrier to use. This will be based on the cost AND the shipping speed, not just the cost. For example, if it's $130 via UPS (but you'd receive it in 2 days) or $110 via Parcel Post (but you wouldn't receive it for 7 days); I would still only charge you $99 for shipping & would spend the extra $20 to send it via UPS. I want a happy buyer, too!

Also, it was brought to my attention by another ebayer, that there are a couple of new Viking Mega quilters for sale on ebay right now. Please, please, please be careful of sewing machine dealers selling equipment over the internet. On the Husqvarna Viking website, it clearly says that

"In particular, kindly note that authorized dealers are prohibited from selling HUSQVARNA VIKING® machines over the internet; therefore, any HUSQVARNA VIKING® sewing machines purchased online will not be covered by the HUSQVARNA VIKING® warranty."

I don't want to sound like sour grapes, especially if you can get a new machine for what I'm selling my used one for. I understand that we all want the best deal for our money, myself included (I'm a proud dollar store shopper!). But I put myself in a buyer's shoes; and I would be absolutely LIVID if I bought a brand new machine, and it wasn't covered by the 20-year manufacturer's warranty.

Just be careful with your buying power, my crafty friends! =)
